After leaving the village and passing the old lavender distillery, the route starts on the Voie Impériale on the left bank of the Asse de Blieux (alternating track and path), then reaches Senez.
Former bishop’s palace and superb listed cathedral. An ascent on a minor road leads to the Col de la Pierre Plantée, from where the route continues to climb to the summit of Lièye on a carriageable track. The descent to Barrême takes place on a playful path winding through a sumptuous heath, then along a ridge to the Arbitelle meadows.
