In this unique photographic exhibition, Yann TOUTAIN, Park Monitor at Mercantour National Park, shows us the ballet of the great birds of prey through one of their most emblematic species: the Bearded Vulture.
This remarkable work, the fruit of several decades of observation and endless hours of stalking in the remotest parts of our mountains, is now on display in the exhibition room at the Fort de Savoie in Colmars-Les-Alpes.
“At the Bearded Vulture Banquet, everyone waits their turn to feed: the Common Raven, Griffon Vulture, Red Kite, Egyptian Vulture and Black Vulture all have their turn! All too often unloved, these magnificent sailors are nature’s true scavengers and indispensable links in the cycle of mountain life. Through this exhibition, which is also intended to be educational, the photographer aims to raise public awareness of the need to protect vultures and birds of prey in general.
