A not-to-be-missed event! The Foire Agricole features 250 exhibitors and 500 sheep, donkeys and poultry. You’ll find all kinds of stands (clothes, jewelry, farm equipment, animal sales…) to suit all tastes.
Throughout the day: demonstrations of agricultural equipment and entertainment (games and workshops for children). From 12pm: prize-giving ceremony for the sheep competition, followed by an aperitif.
Since the dawn of time, the Verdon mountain pastures have been a land of pastoralism and transhumance. Every summer, they welcome thousands of sheep.
This rural event, which attracts several thousand visitors every year, is always an opportunity for many transhumant professionals in the sheep industry to begin their “dismantling”, as the local shepherds call it. By the end of October, everyone will have left the mountains before the first snows appear. In June next year, ewes, rams, goats, donkeys and shepherds will set off again for the Alps.
