This 5-stage touring mountain bike adventure, in the spirit of the splendid official Grande Traversée itinerary of the same name, will take in a selection of the finest trails in the Upper and Middle Verdon. Concocted by professional riders Greg Noce and Fabrice Crouzet, each stage will offer participants a fine day’s mountain biking (or VTTAE) of 35 km and 1300 m of D+ on average.
A daily mountain bike trip in “All Mountain Rally” format, interspersed with 3 to 4 daily special stages, timed sections with varying degrees of undulation and descent, offering real interest in terms of pleasure and sightseeing. At the start of each timed special stage, participants will set off one after the other, with no set starting order. Those wishing to start in groups will also be able to do so. With or without a stopwatch!
Since its inception, the Grand Rallye VTT – TransVerdon has been all about fun, sharing, meeting new people and discovering new things. The notion of competition is secondary for a large number of participants. With this in mind, and for those who might be frightened by the notion of “competition”, the organizers have introduced a “no time” option from 2021, optional and free of charge to be ticked off when registering online, to ride “with a free mind” and not appear in the rankings. The program and routes remain identical in every respect.
