  • Located in the center of the village of Castellane, the Maison Nature & Patrimoines consists of two main exhibitions dedicated in 2021 to geology and fossils:
    "Fossil Era Present Era" will make you discover unpublished specimens of fossils next to works of art from the Regional Contemporary Art Fund of Marseille. The opportunity to discover the richness of our landscapes through geology and art.

    "Mermaids and Fossils" evokes the period when manatees and dugongs populated the sea which covered the region. Exceptional fossils, unique in the world, are to be discovered on site, at the Col des Lèques, located in the town.

    The first level of the building is reserved for the Relais du Parc naturel régional du Verdon where you will find all the information on the territory, heritage as well as hiking and outdoor activities.
