A hike through terraced olive groves, with beautiful views over the valley and village, to the hamlet of Les Lacs on the border with the Alpes Maritimes.

Once you’ve passed through the Porte d’Italie, continue to the “Les Oliveraies” sign and turn left. Here begins a 180 m climb on a path some 800 m long, initially surrounded by olive groves, then giving way to a forest atmosphere until you reach the rear of the citadel.

The path winds through the woods, with well-marked yellow markers and a short, winding descent, until it crosses a forest track. On the left, the track leads to the hamlet of Les Lacs (45-minute round trip). For a direct return, fork right and follow the forest track down to the path overlooking the Var. On the final stretch, the path winds through olive trees to return to the starting point.
