The larch!

Did-you-know-icon

The larch is undoubtedly the king of the forests of the Southern Alps.

Its special feature is that it is the only conifer to shed its needles in winter (larix decidua = which loses its leaves).

The Col des Champs is ideal for discovering this mountain oak.
