Almost 6,500 years ago, a community of farmers settled in Méailles, near the Pertus II cave. The exhibition presents the results of excavations carried out in this cave.
Grotte de Pertus II belongs to a group of caves located in the cliff below the village. It was first excavated between 1955 and 1959 by Monaco’s Museum of Prehistory and Anthropology, then during recent campaigns carried out by Cédric Lepère’s team.
