Hiking Trails I Can Explore with My Dog in the Verdon

There are several hiking trails you can explore with your dog; we’ve put together a selection for you. But please note that you must keep your dog on a leash, follow the guidelines for behavior when approaching areas where livestock are grazing, and take care not to disturb wildlife or other hikers.

Transhumance sites

In our region, where transhumance and livestock farming are very present, guard dogs work alongside numerous herds in our mountain pastures. It’s a good idea to be familiar with their work, and to observe a few rules of cohabitation.

Dogs and all pets are not welcome (even on a leash) in national parks and on certain sensitive sites in the regional park and geological reserve.
