The unique “Annot d’Antan” show invites visitors to travel back in time and discover the charm of the Annot of yesteryear, from 1800 to the Belle Époque of the 1930s.
Thanks to the diversity and richness of its activities, this unique event brings together residents, visitors, and enthusiasts for a vibrant celebration of Annot’s heritage.
1) Folkloric and Heritage Activities:
– Historical Parades: The brass band and the bravade (a traditional Provençal parade) will enliven the streets several times throughout the day in a festive atmosphere.
– Steam Train Tour: An immersion into the railway’s past, with a vintage train parked for the occasion in coordination with the GECP (Study Group for the Railways of Provence).
– A competition will reward the most beautiful period costumes.
2) Village of Traditional Crafts:
– Under tents, artisans will offer demonstrations of traditional skills. Numerous interactive booths will allow the public to try out various craft techniques: blacksmithing, weaving, pottery, tanning, plant dyeing, wood engraving, etc. (Place du Revelly)
3) Crafts, Local Products, and Gastronomy
– A craft fair, “Artisans Without Shop Windows,” will be open all day: passionate artisans from the Southern Alps will showcase their craftsmanship in a friendly, direct-sales atmosphere. (Market Square)
4) Evening Show:
– A grand show awaits you at 9:00 PM in the Place du Coulet to conclude this day immersed in the past.
