2026 Women's Tour de France in the Verdon

The 2026 Women’s Tour de France will pass through our region.

Find the complete route for Stage 8, which passes through the Verdon Tourisme region in the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence, as well as the locations along the Women’s Tour de France route. Also included are the dates and times of the race’s passage through these areas.

The Women’s Tour de France began in 1984 with its first edition. Nearly ten years passed before the event was discontinued, only to be revived in 2022.
Since then, the annual editions have followed one after another, attracting an ever-growing audience.

In 2026, our female runners will be in the Verdon!

Come support and cheer on your favorite female cyclists, from Barrême to the medieval town of Entrevaux, passing along the shores of Lake Castillon.
Take this opportunity to join in the festivities organized by the villages along the Tour de France route!

Saturday, August 8 — Stage 8 — Sisteron > Nice

Setting off from Sisteron, the field of international runners begins its eighth and penultimate stage toward Nice. It’s the longest leg This year’s race covers 175 kilometers, passing through 21 municipalities—including 8 in the Verdon region—and features two mountain passes and two climbs.
