Formerly known as La Garde de Dieu, the village takes its name from its role as Castellane’s advanced military stronghold. It lies at the foot of the Teillon rock, which was home to an oppidum from the early Middle Ages.

This is a challenging hike to the summit of Teillon, which is
also referred to as ‘Quatre Termes’ in reference to the four
boundaries of the surrounding municipalities.

This trail leads to the chapel of Saint Martin, erected at the foot of the imposing rock of the same name, the first parish church in the village of La Garde.

Le col de Luens est un col situé dans les Alpes-de-Haute-Provence à 1054m d’altitude. Il fait communiquer les vallées du Verdon et de l’Artuby. Il se situe sur la « route Napoléon », entre Castellane et Séranon.
La Colline de Sébet est à 1162m d’altitude, elle est accessible par une piste au départ du Col de Luens.
